How can I find out what a retail health stores mark up is?

We want to sell to retail stores and would like to work backwards ie. market retail price less retail store mark up = wholesale sale priceI assume the markup will increase in more expensive areas like Chelsea. Im guessing it would be between 30 - 60%? Given our product will generally sell for £11 - £15

Research the wholesale prices for other products, and compare to those instore, you will get an idea of the mark up percentage from this.

I can only tell you about pet stores for absolute certain and the mark up is 100% of the wholesale price, (root mean).Wholesalers set the RRP in their catalogues and retailers work around that.Unless you have a unique product, the wholesalers in your field will play shut out. They will undercut you with sales leaders and the retailers simply cannot afford to loss their good will, (what there is of it!).It's very hard to muscle in on the wholesalers and if your product has a shelf life you might well find yourself selling at a loss.
