This trading card for businesses has been recommended to me by a business associate, although he hasn't signed up himself. The idea sounds interesting, and I'm considering investigating the idea further. I wondered if there was anyone on here who has personal experience of using them? If so, how did it profit your business and what were you able to trade?

I think my concern with Bartercard would be signing up then not being able to find any suitable businesses to trade with within my area. I'm hoping that someone can put my mind at rest! In my experience, similar exchange type schemes (outside of the business community) seem to be end up top heavy with holistic therapists and short on tradesman.

I imagine it would work very well for someone who's business was service based and had themselves a couple of days a week free for instance (hmmm, holistic therapists?!) or someone who had a regular need to shift stock. It strikes me that it would also be an effective tool for those in the catering trade.

Please, someone, experiences!

No I have never used them either, but they have been around for a long time now so they must be doing something right.
