I find that standing up makes me feel more energised when I'm doing telephone sales too. And definately never smoke (not that I do anyway).
At the moment I'm doing some sales work for a friend's business to help her get off the ground. I'm selling advertising in her new local publication and although I beleive in it, it's really not very exciting stuff! January / February is never going to be a record sales period, but I'm looking at each meeting and call as providing groundwork for future success.
