Default does anyone know an alternative way of dealing with problem neighbours?

Well, we live in a flat, share a small landing with our neighbor, she is a nightmare. Other than the usual stuff she does, doesnt put her rubbish out for weeks (man it stinks) filled it up with junk, smokes out there, people comming in and out all hours, drug taking, etc, she has two young kids, last night she had one of her "partys", lots of people, mainly girls, all very drunk, screaming constantly, windows wide open, music blaring, known drug dealers entering, shouting out the window at passing men, till past ten at night, only to return at 1.30 to start again, no quieter, well weve have it, I am expecting another baby and my partner runs a business from home, we cant take it anymore.Weve been down every propper avenue, tryed to be nice, only to get idiots telling us they are going to burn us alive in the night, police havent done much, enstalled cctv, cost a fortune, its setting a bad example to our two children. How can I stop her (punish even) from behaving like this?

If it's a council property, asked to be re-housed. Keep on at them constantly. Keep a record of your neighbours behaviour to show the council officials/police. Report her to social services for child neglect, that kind of thing. Failing that, you'll have to hire some one to sort her out for you privately!

awww i feel so sorry 4 ya!!! especially the children. why not change house. the only fing i know is write down the times and dates of every incident and go to the authorities with it, but you dont say if its a council house if it is then the council can have them removed.

The problem is, it is doubtful you will change her behavior by talking etc.realistically, your only hope for a quite life is to move, as sad as that is.There are avenues you could go down such as court orders or noise abatement orders etc. but you run the risk of making things worse for yourselves. If her flat is rented, you may be able to get her evicted if you can prove to the landlord how she treats her own home and disturbs the 'peace' of everyone else but this can be a lengthy process and you have already had threats of violence made against you. If she owns the property then it's doubtful you will get any satisfaction from even a legal route.I am sorry you are having these problems and I can fully sympathies with you.Good luck for the future but relocation I am sure is a real option for you.Sean

Sweetheart just move. You obviously live in a bad area if they are telling you they are going to burn you alive. These things dont happen if you live in a propper area. You made a bad choice.
