If my startup company gets sued, and they don't know my real name.. should I dump the company name?
I recieved a letter from microsoft stating that someone reported my company for installing pirated software on a computer. I never install pirated software.. but I talked to one of the freelance guys that did the job. He said the lady had windows 98, he told her he would upgrade her.. but she would need to purchase a license. Well, she called my company for this, and now I have recieved a letter from microsoft in the mail about piracy. I think it might just be a warning letter.. but it is addresses to my company name and has "Dear Owner" on it. I am a single-man startup business, should I just scrap the name and start a new one? or does this not even protect me? Already off on a bad foot..
