PROTECT YOUR MOM!!! Speak up, and demand that he be kinder to his wife! And you will "stand" between your mom and your dad! (That way he can't hurt her) You will "stand" up to him! And you will "stand" 2 feet taller to your mom! Show your respect for the woman who gave you life. Good luck!

If the fights are getting violent or emotionally painful for you or your mom. You need to get help... If you can't confront him when he is drunk, you could try when he is sober. Or talk to your mom and see where she stands. If worst comes to worst you both need to get out and be safe. Protect yourselves, he may be your father and her husband, but drinking changes a person.

if he is physically or mentally abusive he needs a good betch slap from you or the authorities. however, your mom may just have it too cushy to want to leave him.

If you can talk to your mother, then do so.You both need help in this situation as it could get worse for you and I'm sure you don't want to see your mother hurt, either emotionally or physically.I would call Alcoholics Anonymous or some other lifeline if I were you to get advice.
