newbie here! I need visitors,How do I increase web traffic?

I'm starting with 2 affiliate programs and a MLM. I have 3 sites to promote.
But how do I get more visitors to my sites?

I'm using twitter a bit and am now in several forums, what else can I do?

You need to get your sites to show up in search engines when people search for whatever you're selling. The way to do this is through search engine optimization and various forms of online marketing. If you have a budget, a pay-per-click (PPC) advertising program may be beneficial as well.

Submit your websites to link directories
Write some articles based on your theme and submit them to article sites
Submit a press release to press release sites
Create a lens at Squidoo or Page at HubPages
Start a blog
Submit your sites to some social bookmark sites like StumbleUpon, Digg, and Yahoo Buzz.

Look into the resources provided by your affiliate partners. They often have affiliate resources which include all sorts of tips and ideas for affiliates on how to promote their product (it is in their best interest if you sell it, after all).

If the MLM is worth joining, they really should have some training on this as well.
