ok so here it goes, i was out with an overnight to my friend's house for two days (since it's summer). my smaller brother always use my computer and sometimes, accidentally deletes some important files. so while i was gone, my dad did something to my com so that everytime it boots, it would say "Verifying DMi pool data, disk boot failure insert cd bla bla bla and press enter". mom told me dad did.i know it was something he did, and the error is NOT because some of my hard drives had some errors or what, maybe i could change some settings at startup? like anything at all except change my hard drives?btw, dad is on a out-of-town business thing or something, and DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO CHANGE IT BACK!!!ughh. annoying as it is. help anyone..?

Sounds like it's not booting from your hard disk but from the CD ROM instead, open up your BIOS at startup, hit the f10 key, f8, f12 or del key.

Go to start, click on run, type in - msconfig - click enter, then go to start to see what services start automatically and uncheck the one you don't want to run on startup. You may need to be logged on as an administrator to do this.
