It many cases that's true.Why would you listen to someone that failed in the business try to let you know how to buy a car? I don't know if i totally agree. It's kind of like, some people whom are mediocre workers, make great managers. It's not common, but does happen.As far as sales, you can know lots of things, but may not be able to use them properly, this could be self esteem issues, trouble building relationships, or scared of asking probing questions. While it's possible to know and teach the techniques, your personalitly pulls it all together. A succesful salesman learns and uses these techniques to compliment their given ability to interact. On the other hand, there are a lot of dopes out there that think they know, but frankly know nothing. I don't know if this "mole" site is such, but could be.

I am on board with Jay on this one. Just because he is offering his "expert advice" doesnt mean he washed out in sales. Maybe he did, I dont know. I never give those guys much creedance any way.Then look at me and a few others here who have been in this business a long time. We give advice in here every day for free. Not to be too vain, but to me that is much more noble. If you want to help people, then dont charge them. Oooh I get it, you want to make money off them and not have to actually DO anything. The problem is, as Jay said, there are too many "experts" who have no clue what they are doing. How much bad advice do we see here every day? At least 50 times a day someone says "you have 3 days to returna car."

The problem is people like you go to Internet find out what the dealer cost is on a car then go offer $500 less. Any dealer will sell a car with 1% profit and Wal-Mart makes a 78% profit margin and you think they are going to get a great deal. You just don't understand the math. When working on a 1% profit margin(new) you have to pay a saleman, managers, workman's comp, health insurance, interest, match social security plus all the fixed overhead of the building. Their is NO money in new cars. Most profit comes from selling used cars. A salesman can dink around with you for days and make a $100.00 WOWThey did not fail, they might have better chance making money somewhere else, whats wrong with that. Isn't that the American way?Satan- 3 days to return a car. I have copy and pasted the rules pertaining the NO 3 day rule return policy with a link and I get a thumbs down. It really ticks me off when people answer on the 3 day policy.I would like to find a restuarant owner that says you can return a car 3 days later. I will go to his restuaraunt and retunr his food 3 days later that I ate and want a refund.
