Default ebay how to? - getting those first 10 positives

Hi, Folks,

Please cast your minds back to when you first started on eBay. In spite of spending a number of years earning a living in various web-based roles, I have never until now registered as an eBay seller. I have bought the odd item from time to time, but have always had to register anew because the time gaps were so wide I could not find an earlier registration credential.

So would some kind soul or, better, several of you, give me some tips about how to get those first few positive feedbacks I need to get going making sales? I'd prefer not to buy a few things I don't need but if that's the only way to do it I'll just get on with it. In which case, tips on how to buy and ensure I get feedback, please?

The real aim is to drive traffic to my own e-tail web site, not to become an eBay star. if that happens, I will have no objections, it's just not the main purpose of the exercise.

Many thanks, in anticipation,

Mike

nah the best way to go is to sell these things called ebooks, and BUYING ebooks. theyre very cheap a lot of the times only around 16 cents. some of them have some good information in them but theyre mainly there for feedback purposes.

when you do want to sell ebooks be very careful tho. make sure you dont breach any copywrite laws otherwise you will get suspended. but usually they give you a warning first but yeh. its a good way of getting a higher reputation on ebay.

selling ebooks isnt a very handy way of earning a reputation tho. its easy yes but you also lose money doing it. because the prices of ebooks are very competitive (usually about 1 cent - 99 cents) and youl actually have to pay more on listing fees.

yeh the best way is to buy ebooks, thats how i got my feedback points up. However if youre interested in selling ebooks there are some website that let you download ebooks, i just forgot the web adresses for them... but if you want to relist an ebook you can do that too (if it says you have resale rights) but becareful to do it in a way that doesnt breach copyright laws. make it clear that you are reselling the item and you have resale rights etc.
