Default I have started my own business, www.kariskandles.com, and trying to find ways to advertise my business?

I sell on ebay and have done blogs as well. I want to know if there are any magazines that do free or really cheap ads. Thanks!

Radio stations love doing trade-outs. Always good for some mentions. You can list on MySpace. Try something called etsy.com. You can display your wares there.

Print ads tend to be expensive. The other downside is that people have to remember your url and remember to go there (unlike web advertising where they click and they are there). I'd stick to online marketing for now since you sell online. Google Adwords ads are a popular way to advertise for online retail sites so definitely explore that. You may also find value in working with a cross-promotion partner. What that means is that you and another company that has a customer demographic similar to your own help promote each other. You can link each other on your blogs, you can put each others flyers into outgoing orders, etc.I write a blog about free and inexpensive ways to market and work with a cross-promotion partner. You can check it out at http://www.brandtorrent.com/blogYou can also create a profile on brandtorrent.com to find cross-promotion partners to work with if this is something you're interested in.

You need to allow people to find you in the search engines. You have to start off by making your website "search engine friendly". What this means is performing some search engine optimization strategies on it. http://brickmarketing.com/define-search-engine-optimization.htm This will allow your website to be pulled in search results using keywords you are targeting and your audience is using to find your type of product. If you have a competitive market I would suggest going after niche keywords in the beginning. If you still want to take a broad approach you will have to perform a link building campaign.http://brickmarketing.com/what-is-link-building.htm These two phases are a must for any successful e-commerce website. Your audience will not find you otherwise.
