Default Item Not Received

For the first time ever, I have had to load my first paypal dispute. Item didn't show up in the mail, even though it was only sent from 3 suburbs away. I have done everything short of going over there and holding the sellers hand. It has been almost a month, and the seller has stopped replying to emails. (No, I haven't been pushy at all! Took me two weeks before I even emailed to check if it had been sent)

Now that I have started the dispute with paypal, what happens now? I have had "advice" from others saying I have to start a non-performing seller on the seller, but I honestly feel that they did post it, but that they just aren't seeming to act.

Any help/suggestions on what happens now would be good! Thanks

I think for you the best thing to do is wait it out and let paypal do there job.

It is best to wait for PayPal's move. They will get the job done, just wait for them. The only question is when.

Keep pressure on the seller too,depending if they are a reputable seller or not though,I had a similar incident just before xmas it took about 7 weeks from the time I paid until I received my item, I just kept hounding the seller,yet all he kept doing was blame aussie post.A few threats of negative feedback and a report to ebay sure changed his attitude.

I have to agree with the previous posters. PayPal always seems to find in the buyers favour, so I'm sure they will get your money returned to you in the long term. It can be a long process though! Just follow the steps as they explain them to you.

If you can get hold of the sellers telephone number you may well get lucky. I've found in a similar situation that the seller had just forgotton to post something & was so embarrassed to hear from me in person that they sorted it out straight away. Few personal sellers would expect a phone call, and most sellers have good intentions.

You can get their number through and eBays advanced search - Find contact information.

I often call customers when they have not replied to delivery confirmation details. There is always a phone number listed and it is correct 90% of the time.
