I've got a couple of high value items which I am almost certain are not fakes - designer name handbags, sunglasses, pashminas. How can I be certain before I put them up for auction? They were gifts that came from a very wealthy friend (yeah, I know, but I need the cash!), so I doubt they're fake, but i know some fakes are very clever & wouldn't like to be caught out.

Green-Moo, I have heard of services online where you can send them a handful of closeup photos of a good that you are describing and they will tell you "real or fake" look it up on google.

Green-Moo if you honestly believe they are genuine, do not be afraid to sell them as genuine. If it is somehow found out that that are not..just issue a complete refund.

Hi there,
if the hand bags are LV, it is easy to find out if they are real or fake!
Louis Vuitton keep a data base world wide of the name of every single customer who purchases from them, for warranty purposes (LV have a life long warranty).
Just call any LV store, and quote the name of the person who gave you the gift, and tell them it neds a repair, they will let you know if it is on their data base or not....
