Default Vehicles on eBay

I wondered if anyone here has had much success selling vehicles on eBay, and how it has compared (in terms of both selling price & ease of sale) to more conventional methods of selling them?

I have no experience with the matter but I would presume it wouldn't go well, considering a car requires pickup. Or can be delivered at a very very high price. People usually want to see and test a car before purchase. Most if not all continuous car sellers are car dealerships just listing there stock.

I have never known anyone with a good experience in selling vehicles on eBay. I personally never thought of selling them, so no idea. All I can really think of is that people tend to take a test drive before buying any kind of vehicle so, it is really hard to even think about selling it on eBay.

I can't see a problem with it,but you would more than likely be limited to people in your area, unless you had a unique or rare vehicle like GT falcon or something of the like.
I bought my seadoo off ebay sight unseen(photos of course), from Victoria and I live in Perth, and I was more than happy with my purchase.

It's still cheap advertising to list a vehicle on eBay, even if it only targets potential buyers from nearby areas. Some people are willing to travel a far distance to get what they want.

I'm sure many deals for vehicles listed on eBay don't actually sell through the eBay system and end up being more of a private sale.

If you really want to sell a car and get the best price, then the more exposure the better.

I have never done it but I heard someone do it. I think that the buyer must go to a certain place just pick up the vehicle.

I was asking because I'm currently buying a vehicle through eBay, & the guys I've been to see seem to be happy with the method. I take the point about distance & viewing, but i've been searching on vehicles within an hour's drive of me & going out to see them as I would with any other vehicle purchase.

I was wondering how the sale prices compared with those acheived through the local ads etc. Some seem to be shooting up at the last minute, but allot of the auctions are ending early which presumably means that the buyer & seller have come to an off-eBay agreement. It seemed to me to be a good way to expose your offering to a large potential market.

Well it makes sense to me, after all the more eyeballs looking at your ads the more likely someone will come along and snap it up.
And thats the name of the game isn't it?

How is it possible to sell vehicles on ebay? Are there any requirements to be made to make sure that the vehicles are in perfect working condition?
