Hey 2Dogs,
Bit of a trick question really...
Depends on lots of things:
How urgently do you need to attract business?
Is the business a second income or your only income?
Is customer contact via the telephone the only option your potential customers have?
"Spreading your risk" - unusual comment.
Business is risk, period.
It is only less risk if you have thoroughly researched your market place, the needs of the customers in the area, what your competitors are doing (if you have competitors), and completely analysed the costs of set up.
What is your business?
Who are your customers?
What is your 'elevator pitch' - remember, you generally only have seconds to tell a customer or prospect what you do, and it better be effective at telling them just how you and your business solve their particular problem.
Tell us some more about what you do.
Do you have a bricks and mortar business or a website business, or a home based business?
Once we have more info, the advice will be better tailored.
Hope this helps.
