Hi, I'm in the first phases of my newly found purpose. I'm currently just starting with the legal issues and still havn't chosen distributors.

Basically I'm not in to this, but need an ecommerce page.

I don't know where to start, and am highly unsure of my needs, this I know:

1. Basically need a page like coolstuff.se with similar design, also selling gadgets (will be in another european union country)
2. Will start out with 50-100 products...moving up to but I think never more than 250.
3. Will start marketing before the page is open (countdown) and the page should be able to hold 10,000 views/day.
4. Visa, mastercard of course... (have some feeling against paypal...worried for frauds when buyers draw back their money saying "the payment was done with my lost credit card", maybe it's just me though)

Any ideas? Guides to recommend? Anything? Am I stupid, this being too much for me to handle?

My current actions: Trying to learn everything about ecommerce....while talking with a friend about as soon as possible registering the company. As soon as I'm sure of the name I'll register domains....when the company is registered open its bank account....I don't know yet how I'll do web hosting, the merchant bank account, shopping cart, design itself....the distributors I'll find.

Budget? No idea...depends on what's out there....would be glad for the page I'm dreaming of (legal copy of coolstuff.se as example) for $1500...I wouldn't spend more than that yet. Hoping to fix this in the $500 area....with no more than $150/month for starters

Do what you love. You're going to devote a lot of time and energy to starting a business and building it into a successful enterprise, so it's really important that you truly deeply enjoy what you do, whether it is running fishing charters, creating pottery or providing financial advice.

Start your business while you're still employed. How long can most people live without money? Not long. And it may be a long time before your new business actually makes any profits. Being employed while you're starting your business means money in your pocket while you're going through the business start up process.

Don't do it alone. You need a support system while you're starting a business (and afterwards). A family member or friend that you can bounce ideas off and who will listen sympathetically to the latest business start up crisis is invaluable.

Hello
# First and foremost, lets look at the advantages of creating and building an online income. Our place of work is open for business 24/7 so we can work when we want and for as long as we want. Many of our regular duties can be run on auto-pilot leaving us with more time for family, social and leisure activities. This situation offers a less stressful working environment, and to a certain extent we are in control of your own rewards. However, it is important to remember that there are rarely any true 'Get-Rich-Quick' schemes on the Internet. Look upon it in much the same way as you would if you were creating an offline business, which, in order to be sucessful, requires commitment and a positive attitude right from the offset, with scant reward in the early days.
# While it is important to have your mindset focused on a full-time successful online business, it is useful, especially early in your Internet career, as part of the learning curve, to try out a few programs in your spare time. Get the feel of the Internet marketing arena and at the same time learn a little about HTML, scripts, creating attractive images and even building your first website! This can all be achieved as a 'spare time' sctivity. Don't sack your boss till you have the confidence in your complete ability to earn regular income. There may be a lot to learn but, trust me, if you're focused, it will be worth the effort.
