Here are a few basic things you can do to gain traffic:

1. Make sure your on site seo is top notch, on site seo is free and very under rated by new webmasters.
- Make sure your keywords and meta description are up to date and refined.
- Keep fresh content updated on the site.
- Get a sitemap and utilize sitemap.xml
There are hundreds of other SEO techniques however you can look them up yourself.

2. Try to gain relevant back links to your website, link exchanging is always a cheap option.

3. Open a google adwords account and invest $100 to test the waters.
