Default Lawn cutting business?

I live near Toronto, Ontario, Canada and I want to start a lawn cutting business. I want to start it and hire 2-4 people to help. I will be booking all the 'lawn cutings' and all the sevices I offer. I need to know how and were to advertise it and how I should pay the people I hire but still make money.I need names.

You can advertise by having a website. Also with local newspaper, flyers, Craigslist. When people say they spend $300 - $1000/month for advertising. I just think that's just ridiculously too much. If you're just starting out with the business, I don't think you should start hiring 2 - 4 people right when the business just is getting on its feet. You have to estimate with your finances first. What all will you need for the business? Lawn mowers, rakes, gas, and advertising, etc.etc. Good luck!

You are better off starting with just you and a guy at first and after you get longterm accounts then hire people! You will have to pay in us dollars from 9-12.00 based on experience! You need a uniform to look professional ex...a shirt and jeans! You need an accountant and you have to have insurance for your company! Invest in Quickbooks as well!Good luck and make sure you buy a good sunscreen cause you will come home tomato red if not!

This is my give back month as a consult so here's what you should do: First if your looking to start a lawn care business I wouldn't advise you to go out and be cutting the grass. Create a "strategy" not a business plan. Ex. I would sub-contract all work out to smaller lawn services and profit share in the beginning. Now this is why I say create a strategy 1st you don't want your customers paying the subcontractors so you will need to come up with away that home owner pays you. Then you pay them. Then your next step would be to to create away to make sure they dont steal your customers. send me a msg and i'll help you out alittle
