Ive got my first basic website running now, as it my first one its pretty basic and a good place to start.

I hope to be using it for dropshipping to start with as i have minimum capital and feel this is my best way to go to start with.

Can you give me advise on getting traffic to my site? i will add the site to all my forum signatures, email signature, forums etc, but obviously this isnt going to generate mounts of sales! whats the best/cheapest way to get traffic?

I will be selling sports goods, mainly football, pool, snooker and excersise equipment to start with, but other products will feature too.

Do link exchanges with sites that are similar in content and products to yours

Just email a few of the sites and exchange with them

forums signatures it good... google adwords - froogle - free and gets traffic... kelkoo but they do charge, you will get traffic to your site thou

One of the best ways to get traffic to a site is making it available on book marking sites. The traffic that you will be getting are quality ones. Examples of book marking sites are digg, reddit, etc. You can use the search engine to find more book marking sites.

Google adwords would be helpful, but might need some amount to be spent from pocket. However, forums are the best way to grab good traffic. My space or social sites would also get good & targetted traffic.
