Default Where are some good places online to advertise a garage/yard sale?

I have already placed postings on several websites like Craigslist, Hoobly, Yahoo! Groups and small local garage sale sites but I would like to take full advantage of as many places as I can as we are having a massive sale with several thousand items. Anyone know of anywhere else? Thanks

How about local newspapers? There's a paper where we live that is free and people advertise there. Also make alot of flyers and post them around your town. Make signs on wooden stakes. I'm not sure about where you live, but where we used to live we needed a permit for a yard sale.Good luck!

1. Find out if your city requires you to have a permit to have a garage sale. Many do and the garage sale police (treasurer's office) go around and check.2. Print up signs and post on the bulletin boards in universities, libraries, supermarkets, laundry mats, churches, etc, like where you see signs for "room mate wanted, or for rent" type stuff.Hope this helps.

There are only two ways to guarantee a successful garage sale. Put a ad in your local paper and The biggest way that most people do not have a clue about are your signs. They must be large 2 feet wide and 3 feet tall you can buy them in Wal Mart or office supply store, pick a bright color, but a very large permanent marker. Include dates and times and very large arrows. Make at least 20 and put them in key locations marking the way to your house. I found that making a cross out of wood and stapeling the signs to it supported them, use duct tape and mount them high.
