You're right there. A lot of businessman these days has their own business cards. It is also available online, but I haven't tried it yet!

Yeah too rite they are as cheap as chips too these days,I just received my order that I placed online I think it cost me $40 for 2000 delivered..At that price I just drop them anywhere, at the supermarket,on peoples car windscreen etc. It's one of the most cost effective forms of marketing too.

Business Cards are very handy. The amount of times I have ran into potential customers and hand to write stuff down on paper for them wav pretty embarrasing. Now I have my own set of business cards that I take with myself everywere I go.

I think the business card puts a very personal touch to a business.
One of my businesses is run online and with every sale I chuck in a few cards, Seems to be very effective in drawing in return customers.

I'm embarrassed to admit I don't have business cards. I do so much of my business online that I haven't taken this step into real world marketing. What are some good sites for getting business cards made up?

I've also seen business cards you can just make from your home computer. Does this look horribly unprofessional, or is it a solid option?

I'd recommend Vista too, they're certainly well priced. However, I think there's nothing worse than some of the bright & colourful designs that they do.

I'd steer clear of home produced cards unless you have extremely good printing facilites. Most of the ones I've seen just look naff.

Business cards are definitely an area not to go cheap on. Home-printed cards make you like amateurish - is that the first impression you want?
