Why would you encourage people not to use a business broker? Selling or buying a business with quality advice is like walking through a mine field. Of course you must choose your business broker wisely.

Prior to considering selling a business it is imperative that you seek the right advice from a reputable and savvy business broker. He or she will make sure you have done the necessary preparation and made sure that you have lined up all your ducks in a row so that you achieve the best possible sale price.

I am not encouraging people to sell privately, only making a suggestion to those who do want to sell their business privately.

You can not argue with statistics. More and more people are selling privately thanks to the internet and not only businesses. Houses, cars, boats, you name it and people are selling privately online.

As the owner of Australia's biggest business for sale website Business-Trader.com.au I can prove that Business Brokers will soon be a thing of the past. I know you, being a broker would not like to hear this, but its true. In fact, I even have a large number of brokers choosing to advertise on our site, so what does that say? It tell business owner to save thousands of of their hard earned money and sell privately through business for sale sites like Business-Trader.com.au.

As an example, I had an advertiser who was based in Sydney, upload his business for sale and within 1 week it was sold to a buyer in Cairns. Unless a broker advertises on these business for sale sites, they just won't get the exposure they need. Hence the reason business owners are basically cutting out the middle man and advertising themselves.

And to Broker (post below), I am sorry but your recommendation for people on this site to advertise their businesses for sale at www,winwinbusinesses.com is not very good advise. In fact it is a con!

This site gets practically Zero traffic, which means no visitors, no people viewing your listing which means no sale to the owner.

Business Trader is ranked in the top 2000 websites in Australia and the top 200,000 in the world! That is huge traffic!

Anyone reading this thread, just visit Business-Trader.com.au and I'll let this site do the talking for itself.
