Relaxing

How do you guys relax when you aren't working? That's if you are ever off duty of course

I'm finding that I'm spending my leisure hours in front of the computer as well as my working ones, and I need a bit of variety!

Today I resolve to at least go for a walk, otherwise I'll not leave the house.

Hi Green Moo,

I find myself in the same position as you, spending the few precious non-working hours infront of the computer. And it usually turns into work it is pretty much research time.

How do we break this cycle?

Many a times it really ends up similar to yours but now-a-days I am having some good time spent with my parents who are here with me for a visit for 3 mths. Mostly trying out to check out some good places near by though it is winter.

You guys need to get yourself some toys, I'm headin out soon on my sea-doo which is my summer toy,and come winter time i'll be out on my moto x bike.

Hey Guys,
The same problem has plagued us busy self-employed for some time.
I try and get away up bush for each weekend, fishing and camping.
I think everyone needs a mixture of fun and work in there life.
Find a hobby you are passionate about!

I absolutely love to read books--real books, I mean, not just words on a computer screen. Every night when I accomplish all my goals for the day, I reward myself with a few chapters of whatever novel I'm currently reading. It keeps me very motivated.

I also enjoy playing with my cats and try to set aside at least a half hour of uninterrupted cat time every day.

Hi Calypso,

I have cats too, and I pay them alot of attention.
My wife even gets jealous that I show them more affection than her.

They are 2 black cats, Blackie and Spider, that's how I got my name.
Spider came from the RSPCA a few years ago and we got Blackie a couple of years ago as a kitten from a stay bush cat my parents took in down the South Coast.

I like to think of these 2 cats as lucky cats, as things have gone very well since we have had them.

I make myself walk away from the computer otherwise I would be glued to it all day. I really love to read in my down time. I will read just about anything.

Stroking pets is supposed to have a therapeutic and relaxing effect, so after a hard day I'd guess that playing with the cats is just what is required to relax and destress.
