I am an importer and wholsaler based in Australia.
Personally, I dont htink you will get designer gear in Australia for around $3 per piece, even by the pallet.
The reason being, freight.
Freighting items in from overseas to Australia, even by the shipping container is very expensive, as much as $2 to $3 per piece....unless you are buying 30000 pieces plus.
For example, I was once offered 6000 pairs of Calvin Klein socks @ US $1.20 a pair, after dollar conversion and freight, tarrifs, customs clearance and freight forwarding, it was going to cost me almost $5 per pair...they were currently on sale in Myer for around $6....no room left for mark up for me or my on sellers.

So be careful, always remember if it sounds too good to be true...
