Default How much money do I need?

Hey guys I am new to this site...I was just wondering, how much do I really need to start selling stuff wholesale?? Right now I have $2000 USD. Is that enough money to make any profit on anything?

Sure, you just need to find the right products and the right suppliers.

Everyone here is here to make money but we cannot just suggest to you a way of making a quick buck... that isn't what we are here for...

If you wanted to sell laptops then to be able to buy at a decent discount rating you "would" need quite a bit more than $2000... Think more like $10000 upwards...

With that sort of budget try entertainment products such as media..ect...

Other than that you could always look at clothes or a niche product...

It all depends on what kind of products you intend to sell. I think that $2000 is great amount to start up with. I don’t see any problem with it. I can say that is enough for whatever you are trying to sell.

$2000 is a good amount of money to start business. I wasn't able to pool in so much of money and rather was able start it with $250. What products are you willing to sell, have you decided on it yet??

Hoodwinke,
I think it would be advisable to go towards a niche industry rather than laptops.

thats not always the case, you'll be surprised how much money you could make off products laptops. because remember, large markets dont only mean many competitors but also many customers who are looking for different thing in terms of quality and such.
And if the person is passionate about a product they should never let just competition get in their way as passion for your product is a vital key for success.

Thats right Hussel, "passion for your product is a vital key for success" but you must remember it would be very hard for a business starter to compete with some of the big guns out there. Especially dealing with laptops.
If you want my opinion I would go for a niche aswell. Especially when you say "i just want to make some good money" and not in it for the passion of laptops.
