You have to start selling things people will actually want like - shoes - purses - electronics - Trust me i just sold a purse on ebay ! Usually the ones with tags still sell more

Unless you already have a source that you know is viable, it's really not feasible. People go to eBay expecting to find stuff at or below wholesale prices. Add in the fees and it's nearly impossible to make a profit.

Scott is right. The fees make it impossible now to make any kind of profit. The ebay fee and then the paypal fee and since they dont allow digital delivery, you have to pay for postage and usps raised their rates just recently and the others like ups have always been high. Theres no way to make a profit now and everybodys leaving to go to other sites. They are trying to drive small sellers out by making new rules every week because they just signed some deals with some major companies like GM so they are trying to make ebay more retail and not individual sellers soon. Not a good time to start at feebay with all the recent changes. I suggest you go to free websites like craigslist, ioffer, ecrater, onlineauction. Heres some wholesale companies that alot of ebayers go through but many of the powersellers (like myself) are leaving to go elsewhere that treats sellers good.http://www.buy-in-bulk.com/free_wholesale_list. You will probably end up violating one of ebays silly rules and end up getting suspended or have your items taken off without warning and no refund because they decided to change the rules in 1 day. Sellers cant leave negative feedback for buyers now even if they dont pay, but buyers can still leave negative feedback for sellers so you will have lots of dishonest people now trying to get free stuff from you by threatening you with negative feedback if you dont give them refunds, and it only takes about 2 negative feedbacks to get suspended. I left voluntarily when they told sellers they had to put digital items in classified ads which are useless and now they are trying to take over craigslist because craigslist has free ads and ebay doesnt want that since ebay is trying to promote their useless $10.00 classified ads. They treat sellers horrible and I suggest you start a business on your own website and use the other places like craigslist that are free to help promote your products on your website. Or you can get into affiliate marketing which is even better money in my experience. Most of my income comes from domains or affiliate marketing but a little of it comes from sellings things on those other sites. I was making $200 a day on ebay until the changes and within 1 day I was making only $20, and then a week later $0. Its a bad company to go through because they dont care about their sellers at all. Jacki mentioned buying a wholesale list off feebay, well that's another thing they are trying to get rid of because those are digital. They require you to list them in classified and nobody is making money in classified so they arent listing them and the people who are left that are listing them and saying they are not digital and will ship on cd, are getting suspended everyday. Feebay says they cant put them on cd because they have to be listed in the "Everything Else" category, but this is a trick by ebay because if you list something in "Everything Else" it has to be in a classified ad or they will suspend you or remove the listing when they find out you didnt put it in a classified ad.

You have to sell high margin items. At least 10 to 1.Here is a book for you. buy at $0.01 to resell $2.00 on ebay. Pay the fees... smile!A complete plan with lots of example of actual sales on ebay and other places.Needs only $50 to start, but profits are enormous. How to make money selling stamps and you will learn a lot of non conventional ways. You may learn a lot just by the sales page...Good luck with your business

Try World Wide Brands, there you can find companies that sell products wholesale, dropship, etc. Great for ebay business or an online store. World Wide Brands is a wholesale directory, they also have tips, videos and information on getting started.I hope that I was of some help and answered your question.

Default

Hi there,

What sort of things are you wanting to sell?
This is the first thing you need to decide, I suggest you sell something you already know about, it makes writing descriptions etc easier.
I wholesale designer clothing and accessories and am located in Australia, if i can help you out, just drop me a line.

Cheers,
Jamie.
