I'm still really new to wholesale but here's a quick tip. It might just of been me being a little bit dumb but I was going on to google and typing for example "clothing wholesale". Whilst this would bring a few results back I found that it is ALOT better to find the actual manufacturers website and email them directly asking them if they offer wholesale or dropshipping. I've emailed about 30 companies so far and about 20 have emailed me back with prices
There you go, 20 price lists is enough to get started. There much else you can do.
Place some small orders and put them up for sale. There is no magic formula only you can find what sells the best or makes the most money by actually selling them.
I agree with Greedyboy 20 price list's are more than enough. Dont fall into the trap of spending night and day on the internet trying to find the cheapest and best wholesaler. You'll aquire this knowledge naturally when you kick start your business.
For e.g some of the products i sell i have only two suppliers that i deal with. Although there are probably hundreds of suppliers that sell the same thing i am comfortable dealing with only two.
I trust them and have built up over the years a good relationship.
I have negotiated price on every order
Quality is great
Pricing is good
I'm sure there are other suppliers that are even cheaper but I prefer for the time being to stick with the one's i have until I re-evaluate my business and make some time to seek out others.
The next step for you now is to take action and place a small order. Once you start making a few sales with your small order you'll gain the confidence and no doubt hunger to to seek out better products/suppliers.
For me making a sale is the biggest buzz, which no doubt you will experience.
didn't contact big name brands like nike or anything like that. That's probably why I got so many replies. The companies I contacted were small business' but some of their clothes are sold at big shops.
And I enquired by simply asking if they offered any wholesale services and if they would send me a price list and terms of sale.
did the same when I started. Unfortunately, from more the 50 suppliers only few were real and legitimate. As a rule, they had highest prices. But it's better, then get nothing from others, right?
