Hi, Im a Newbie on here and just thought id drop a quick message. I've got the same idea as most people on here, get into wholesale and give up work.... easier said than done I know (got to have something to work to though i suppose). Anyway, just want to say that I've found quite a lot of good advice on here, I know people arn't going to be giving away there top suppliers and so on but its nice to see that a lot of you are giving us newbies a point in the right direction. I've found a couple of suppliers on here which I've opened a dropshipping account with, I know im never going to make a lot of money through dropshipping but its giving me the experience of making a few sales and hopefully getting me a few good customers that will come back for more and will be there in the future. Obviously i want to get into buying wholesale and having my own stock, but I know its not something you can just decide to do then wake up the next morning with quick success and be rolling in the money. Am I doing the right thing in Dropshipping to start with? Gives me a bit of experience and hopefully a bit of capital to get into wholesale?

It sounds like your off to a great start actually, well done. You can make money dropshipping and I'm sure you will. I would go so far to say, buying stock before hand is a lot more profitable. However, if you don't have the capital to do so, dropshipping is the perfect option. Just make sure your dropshipper is reliable and actually has the stock in physical possession. There are many who simply act as a middle-man and pass your order onto another company. That's really not the sort of organisation you want to be dealing with.

As for getting some experience, that's what it all boils down to. You need it to succeed, after all, practice makes perfect. Stick at it and learn from your mistakes.

drop shipping is definitely a very feasible method to make money. Finding the product that isn't so competitive and that you can still make decent money on is the hard part. It takes studying to see what the item sells for wherever you are trying to resell it. You got to put all costs into the equation when selling on ebay. listing fees, final value fees after the item sells, paypal fees, and the fee to purchase the item which also includes the shipping and handling the dropshipper charges for the item. If you can make a profit after all this, then its an item well worth selling. Doing all the work to make 1 cent of course isn't the best use of time.

I've done well by dropshipping for years. As mentioned, finding a source you are comfortable with is the main thing. Try finding products that are not all over eBay. You can make decent money and never touch the goods.
