Default Who Is Protecting Franchisees In Australia?

DON'T GET RIPPED OFF!

?Some of the biggest brands in franchising are being accused of fraud, collusion, and unconscionable conduct against their franchisees? See Major franchise brands accused , Kristen Le Mesurier | October 19, 2007
http://smallbusiness.theage.com.au/g...900007700.html

The ?usual suspects? who are relied on to provide protection to franchisees are the following.

1. Franchisors: - Sounds a little like the fox guarding the hens!
2. Solicitors: "Litigation is too expensive and time consuming...? (see above article)
3. Franchisee consultants: Many stand to gain a benefit from promoting or suggesting particular franchises. This conflict of interest makes the advice tainted.
4. The Regulatory Authorities: That assumes that they have the man-power & ability to assist you. That appears not to be the case. (See the above article).

SO THEN WHO IS PROTECTING POTENTIAL FRANCHISEES?

The Franchisees Advocate Group (www.franchiseesadvocate.com), is a newly created Australian business with a unique set of skills for safeguarding potential franchisees ? BEFORE its too late.

Unique: In addition to setting up & operating numerous well-known Australian businesses & franchises (such as Nando's Chickenland, ATM Solutions; Digital Recall etc) The Franchisees Advocate Group?s experience includes drafting Disclosure Documents, Franchise Agreements, Operating Manuals etc.

This means that when they evaluate a franchise opportunity, they apply the combined knowledge and insight of all of the following: Franchisors AND Business Operators AND their Legal/Accounting training. This is a uniquely complete perspective of the franchise-business AND the franchise documentation (so that the prospective franchisee doesn?t land up with a great Franchise Agreement, but a lousy business).

The Franchisees Advocate Group is acutely aware of the necessity to keep franchisees costs low.

Default ActionCoach Franchise

Hi. I was reseraching the ActionCoach business coaching franchise until a couple of days ago when I hit a web site called

bluemaumau.org/brad_sugars_come_down_0

The content got me asking myself a lot of questions about ActionCoach in particular but also franchising in general. How much info are franchisors supposed to provide to investors up front?
Thanks.
