Default Does anyone know where I can find colored turquoise nuggets/beads to use in making jewelry?

I have found lime green but would like pink and orange too. I see a lot of jewelry made of it online and on ebay but I want just the nuggets/beads so my daughter and I can make our own. I've searched online bead suppliers, jewelry making suppliers, and the wholesale places I can find. I know it's out there but for some reason I am just not finding it, . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.I guess I better specify a little better what I am looking for. And, thank you to all of you who answered my original question. I am looking for chunky turquoise nuggets to use in making necklaces. They are the bigger pieces of turquoise that are colored pink, orange, green, etc. I've found green and pink on ebay but can't find the orange. I purchased the green but haven't wanted to purchase the pink yet because it's a little higher priced. I wanted to find a wholesale place that had these specific items. I do shop at firemountain gems, arts beads, etc. Thanks again!!

Try getting a rocks and minerals guide at Borders or any other bookstore. Get one of the National Audobon Society. Or just keep searching online. I don't know much about this, but ask other people, or go to a jewelry store and ask the experts.

If you and your daughter would also like to *make your own* faux turquoise beads, we do that with polymer clay and it's a lot of fun. They're almost impossible to tell from the real thing if done reasonably well too. That way you can also make the beads any size, shape, or color you want, and even change the type and amount of veining in larger beads, etc. There are lessons for making faux turquoise in various ways, as well as links to photos of many of them, on this page at my polymer clay "encyclopedia" website if you want to check them out:http://glassattic.com/polymer/faux-turquoise_wood.htmAnd if you want to make other "faux" stones and materials from polymer clay, check out these pages for everything from faux ivory to faux jade, pearl, amber, metals of various kinds, etc, etc..:http://glassattic.com/polymer/Faux--many.htmhttp://glassattic.com/polymer/faux-ivory.htmHTH,Diane B.

I buy most of my beads off of www.artbeads.com I've found their prices to be reasonable, and their shipping to be very quick!

I use Fire mountain gems a lot but if you have searched there already here is a place I have used previously as well. They are on ebay as well but I might suggest buying directly from them online.http://www.marketworks.com/StoreFrontProfiles/DeluxeSFItemDetail.aspx?sid=1&sfid=83574&c=0&i=239 650185http://www.marketworks.com/StoreFrontProfiles/DeluxeSFItemDetail.aspx?sid=1&sfid=83574&c=0&i=238 546421www.foxyfindings.com
