Default Horse before the Cart but a Good Problem...

OK

This is probably odd but I am sort of doing these the other way around....I have phenonemal contacts in Japan and China - so I already have the suppliers....

Through marriage, (recently) I have been introduced to some heavy hitters that work for one of THE largest Japanese shipping company. The contacts I have represent the company in China - they can source anything since they deal with hundreds of factories. I am in regular 'buddy' contact with them and they keep asking me what it is that I would be interested in buying. They will not rip me off since I am connected to them via family ties...Nice Situation that I am keen to exploit.

Anyways - my problem is that I dont know what to ask for!!

Well I guess at the end of the day what ever you do decide to ship over is that there needs to be a market for it.

I don't think it really matters what you decide to import and sell.
I think it's who you know in this world, so it seems your off to a flying start!

Good position to be in, I was in the same a few years ago.

Do some market research, see where the greatest profit margins are and look for gaps in the market.

I went into heavy sporting goods as it is an interest of mine.
I believe you can easily make 100% mark ups selling directly, in imports of completed products (not raw materials).

I'd say sell something you are passionate about.
I would have probably lost interest by now if I didn't love the products I sell.
