Depends, if you are looking for PS3, Wii etc then your going to get scammed 99% of the time. However like Hardy says there are some great resources of unbranded products an d all sorts but be careful, check sellers feedback and payment methods before plunging in

Alibaba has undoubtedly received a lot of bad press, there are many negative experiences being exposed all over the Internet. The majority of these horrific tales revolve around branded products in particular, many look to China seeking brand-name goods at rock-bottom prices. This usually leads to either of two outcomes. A box of counterfeit merchandise, in other words some expensive trash. Or alternatively, no products turn up whatsoever. I’m guessing you don’t want to loose money, and would rather find a reputable source. In which case, continue to search Alibaba but only if your looking for unbranded products. If you are looking for branded goods, contact the brand owners and ask who their authorized distributors are. You may well find branded goods on Alibaba, but certainly not in China.

TIP: Alibaba’s verification process doesn’t have any authority, anyone can wear the badge. They just need to put their hands in their wallets to gain it. So do not use that as a way to determine the legitimacy of a company.

I love it !

Probably made about $500k profit from a supplier I found on there a couple of years ago. Maybe I was lucky as it is only 1 of 2 suppliers we have found on Alibaba. However, the other supplier from Alibaba has made us profits of about 150% mark ups, this is for items selling for about $1200 on avarage.

Alibaba is only an introduction agent, it is a tool.
If you get ripped off through Alibaba, then not enough investigation was done.

I Agree, I have used alibaba to find a lot of good suppliers that I still have. I think it comes down to your own research.
