I've had a similar website before, with a lot of information on it, but it was not ranking well in the search results on any search engine. At the recomandation of a friend, I've contacted CRT business solution ( http://www.crtbs.com ), an
SEO company from California, that halped me improve my ranking. They had to rebuild the entire website, restructure it, optimized, etc., but not the effort is paying off.I'm not an
SEO expert, but from the experience that I've got working with this company here are 10 things that I've found wrong with your website:1. You have to many words in META Description and Keywords. They have to be unique for every single page if you want the search engines to find and rank well your website.2. Make sure every page has a unique title.3. You have too many javascripts in your source. You should move them into an external file so make the codes cleaner.4. You have javascripts links. That will make search engine spiders to not be able to access your pages.5. Move all the Styles into an external file.6. Some pages are too deep in the website. Take a look at this link: /products/commtest/protocol/protocol.cfmThe deeper the page is, the lower will rank. 7. Move all the Google Analytics scripts to the bottom of the pages. You have to keep the main information closer to the top of the source of the page. Right now, the top 3/4 of your page is full with codes that compose the top menu. 8. You have to have a unique link,
SEO friendly, for every page. "
SEO friendly" meants to have the keyword in it. 9. Create links to every page from multiple pages of your website. The link must have keywords in it if you want that page to rank well in Search Engines. For example, from your home page, the only link to "Aeroflex 3500 adds RF Spectrum Analyzer Option" is the one that sais "Learn More". Because of this link, the search engines will think that your keywords for that page are "learn" and "more". You should create a link to the page from the product name too. 10. Use H1, H2 etc to tag the key information in your page. For example, use H1 once on every page to tag the product name. In this case you will have the product name in the title page, url and in the page. The search engines will know now what are the keywords in your page.Everything that I've said here is about on-page optimization. After, and only after, you are done with this step, you can go to the next one and start the off-page optimization. There are many other things this company did for my website to rank well. Contact them for more information. I really recommend them.
