This is my first post on the forum.

I'll be selling info products online. My question is whether public liability insurance is needed and if so if the insurance is taken out in Australia, will it cover me for overseas markets?

Does anyone have a similar business?

I think public liability insurance is for when you injure someone or damage their property while working so don't think this really applies to an online only business.

Maybe you are looking for products liability which covers if your product injures or damages something. However if you are just selling information then this doesn't really apply either.

Professional indemnity/liability covers any advice you give (i.e. if it is wrong advice).

I'm not a liability expert but been in business for a little while and these are a few products I have come across.
