Default what actions should I take if the business cancelled my order but procrastinate on crediting me back ?

Recently I placed an order for some products but the online shop actually don't have any in stock. They charged my credit card already when I placed the order, but when I canceled the order, the credit refund was not being processed. keep calling within the small customer service window and still not being helped by talking to anyone who would work on it. It's been couple weeks already and I just can't get the refund processed. I am running out of ideas how to approach it because the customer service person is always the same one who picked up the phone and declared that she's not the one working on the refunds. Yet she refused to give out a contact name and #. Is this a dead end?

Call one last time and tell them you will call your credit card company and deny the charges if they do not put someone on the phone who can help.You have a 30 day window to call your credit card and explain the situation to them. They can help you with the fraud and refund your card.

first, contact the credit card company to reverse charge.second, if not satisfied, contact presidents office of that companythird, if not satisfied, contact better business bureau, andfourth, if not satisfied, contact the state attorney general for the state in which the company is incorporated
