Hello,

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation.

SEO techniques are used to increase search results in google and other search engines.

There are a few very simple things you can do for basic SEO.

1. Make sure you have quality meta keywords and description for each page.
2. Have quality updated content.
3. Try to gain back links from similar websites.

I could go on and on, but there are some basic ones.

If you want help with more advanced SEO techniques please let me know.

I was struggling as well, however I found the perfect solution for me. I worked together with WAAM - We're all About Marketing. It was very cost-effective and by the same token the professionals did the work. They were highly effective, helped me out, and really optimised my business. Without a shadow of a doubt, I recommend to get help from professionals. Just have a look at waam.com.au

SEO or Search Engine optimization is a procedure or a principle in helping a certain website increases its traffic, improving its page rank and giving your website more chances of getting the attention of the researchers.
The need of SEO is to increase the amount of visitors to a web site by ranking high in the search results of a search engine. The higher a web site ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that site will be visited by a user.If you need help with SEO, just check on us, we will be glad to help you

It doesn't cost much to put up your own website. But you do have to know what you're doing to some extent.

There are tonnes of resources around.

You may want to consider a short course, such as NettSchool (with the double T - it's held by Nett magazine), they run great short courses in most states, including cheap seminars for people who are at the beginning of the cycle.

They use a template system and can show you how to build your professional website on that! It's pretty easy.

You can now buy tonnes of books on SEO too, try your nearest Co-Op book shop, they always have plenty of online resources in print (I always find that online resources that are actually... online... are hard to sift through, you never know if it's legit).

SEO is an art in itself, and not for the person looking to get ranked quickly, its an ever moving market and you ahve to focus a lot of attention each month to ensure your website stays in the top of search engines.

I recommend you check out some free resources and training like the .. it is an excellent resorce for leaning about SEO and Internet Marketing in General.

To understand why SEO (search engine optimization) is important, you need to know what SEO does for a website.

If you needed to hire a new manager for your office you would let people know about the opening by advertising. An ad in the paper would include the positions’ title, job description, and how to contact you. It might also state how not to contact you (i.e., no phone calls).

Meta data and other codes provide similar information to robots including titles, descriptions, and instructions on how and what to read on a webpage.

A robot is what search engines (and other information gathering companies) use to find your site, analyze it, and then decide what to do with it (ignore it, ban it, or index it).

Think of SEO as advertising your site to search engines. If robots do not know about you, like what they see, or cannot understand what you are saying, you will not get search engine “air time.”
Robots – Make Them Your Friends

The Internet search engine process is not run by people. It is run by robots (spiders, webcrawlers, worms, and webants) that (hopefully) visit your site and try to understand and index it. If your site is not indexed, it will not show up in search engines. Period.

A site with good SEO attracts robots and provides instructions, descriptions, and content that robots can understand, analyze, and assign relevance to. A site with no, or poor SEO will either get ignored, or worse – tagged as spam or blacklisted.
