Drop shipping is a great idea if you don't have the space or money to carry an inventory.Pros:- Less money up front to start your business- You don't need the extra space or money for inventory- You don't have to worry about getting stuck with inventory you can't sell- You don't have to do any packing or shipping- You can offer more variety from different companies- You can work as much or as little as you please, and based on your scheduleCons- Obviously the amount of money they will take, meaning you make less profit- You have no control over the shipping, including how long it takes- If your customer has a problem with a product you have to try and work it out between the customer & the company-You're limited to sell what that wholesaler has-There are a lot of shady wholesale companies out there and some are just buying from other wholesalers, jacking u the price even more. Do lots of research before yu decide to work with a companyIf you sign up on Ebay they actually have an area where you can find out about and work with wholesalers.

It's a great idea, but...You have to find legitimate ones, and other eBayers are likely to be using them and you might not be able to make that much profit. Thousands of eBayers could be using the same dropshipper, all getting the same price. Where is your competitive edge?YOU are responsible to your customer for any delays, problems and screwups that the dropshipper will always be finding excuses for and not caring about you. After all, he figures that YOU should be understanding about his problems.You have not authority or control over the dropshipper, you have no ability to give him orders or see that customer service is at its peak. Instead, you are under his control and he's calling the shots. He doesn't know about your eBay rating and he doesn't care.I think you have to really get the right one, who is highly recommended and has nothing less than a 100 per cent performance rating.

it's a great idea and you can make a lot doing it. But you'll have competition from already established drop shippers.

Start from selling on your actual stock first. Because there are lots of details along the process you need to know about before going for the drop shipping model.
