what is being done to stop scams on the net?

there are so many scams eg money making, dropshippers, wholesales ect on the netwhat is being done to stop these people getting away with this?who should be stopping this for happening

Theres not a lot being done to be honest. There are tons of scams made per day and its impossible to get keep up and get rid of them all. One place to try is better business bureau (http://welcome.bbb.org/). They supposedly try there best to keep up with what things are a scam and what are not. But to be honest if you can not find an address on there site, theres no phone number or it dont work...then dont trust it...but if you look up internet scams i believe you an find other ways to tell if a site is a scam or not.

Well, some of these sites are added to phishing filters, maybe, not likely. But websites that warn people about this are being set up, such as RipoffReport.com, and also sites at the top of search engines. Also I guess people report these scammers to the BBB and FTC.
