Can I send alcohol between provinces?

I just moved to BC a few days ago, but on my last week in Alberta one of my brothers bought me this big liquor basket as a going away gift.I know the shipping company that was moving my things wasn't insured for transporting alcohol, so I left the basket with my folks. I felt bad because it cost him $200, but I'm not sure if it's legal or not to do it with other shipping methods. Everyone I ask gives me a different answer. Can I send alcohol from province to province?Thanks...what are you talking about? I send glass through the mail all the time. I sent all of my belongings during the move between provinces and a lot of it was glass, and the shipping company knew as much since I wrote it on the box.That, and I don't have a liquor basket I want to deliver, my brother has one he already purchased that he wants to send to me.

I was a chef for years and sent stuff from B.C and Alberta when I worked there back in the 1980's.The only thing is Canada Post will not ship it and neither will Greyhound so your only choice is either Purolator or UPS and have it insured, like other things it is a gift, your not importing it for sale that is illegal.

NO! Not at all! #1 you cant send glass through the mailI would suggest going on line. Sometimes you can find a website that makes the liquor baskets. so they will deliver to him.
