How can I find out if a online merchant is legit or a con?

I am interested in placing an order with the following website:http://www.unforgettabletvshows.comMy concern is that it is a fake one that takes the customer's money and never sends the merchandise. The above website does not offer Paypal payment. Only unsecured VISA/MASTERCARD. In general, how do you know if an online merchant is legit or not?? Up to now, I've only done business with big names like Amazon, Buy.com. Please advise.

Try betterbusinessbureau.comIf they are reputable, you can usually find them on there. If not, you're taking a chance, but who knows, they could be totally legit!

Go to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website and look up the business.

There are plenty of laws and legalities in place to prevent and quickly shut down sites like these. It is most likely a small, home style business, which explains the ordering style.Check out the BBB or order from somewhere else if you don't feel comfortable giving them your information. If it is a scam, report it and call your card company and you'll end up losing nothing .
