How is Obama going to make this so-called "change"?
Has Obama defined the method he is going to use to institute the changes he's promised i.e. medicare reform, and Universalize health care...amend NAFTA to stop workers from getting laid off from jobs getting shipped overseas. Amend the medicare program to make it less wasteful and fiscally irresponsible. Make a PAY-GO spending program that requires certain responsible fiscal trends so that the debt doesn't get run up. (used also by Clinton to lower the national debt until Bush got in office)Provide internet connections in rural areas, provide incentives against deforestation, make carbon fuel standards higher, encourage ethanol fuel like Brazil does.HOW?? will he do this, not WHAT will he do...

Most of his sayings are pandering. I think he will do it through rainbow powered cars and strawberry flavored welfare checks/

How is Obama going to make this so-called "change"?
That is the big mystery. He promises change, but he has no idea what most of those changes will be or how he will go about implementing those changes once he does figure it out. What little specifics he has given on change, the promises are as hollow as a dead tree stump. Obama is a windbag Looking at his paltry record in Congress, he has shown himself to be a partisan liberal who has no desire to work with Conservatives, meaning he would be a lame-duck President who will be unable to get Congress to pass any meaningful legislation.

How is Obama going to make this so-called "change"?
seemingly he wants to build a consensus in Congress working together and probably giving a little here and there when he needs to...he often talks about reaching out and working together...how will he do that? I'm not sure...but I do think it's the only way anything will get done... and I think he's the only one that really wants to try...McCain has grown more and more divisive over the past 3-4 years... and seems to only want to continue to get more so...so... it's a guy who wants to try vs. a guy (and a lady, if you want to talk about Hillary) who doesn't...if he can get enough of congress to support him... the exact "how" won't be a big issue...

How is Obama going to make this so-called "change"?
How? Well, as President he will have to work with congress, LIKE ANY OTHER CANDIDATE.What's the freakin mystery? He will get things done the same way any other candidate would get things done. By hopefully working with the solid democratic majority in both houses, but failing that, trying to get the moderate republicans on board.Obama, like McCain and Clinton, is a human being. He is not going to waive any magic wand. He is going to have to build consensus around a particular goal. And like any candidate he is going to have to face tradeoffs between spending, taxing, and not going further into debt. All candidates will face this same tradeoff. One thing that Obama has said he will do differently is try to enlist the American people to his causes by speaking to them truthfully and trying to build grassroots support. What that means in practice is that any attempt at serious reform will be attacked by lobbyists and special interests. The only way to counteract that pressure is by citizens being informed, writing and pressuring their congress people, and basically keeping the heat on the politicians, so they don't get lobbied into defeating the reforms. That is exactly what happened to the Clinton health reforms in the 1990s.There's no guarantee that it will work. But I don't think McCain or Clinton are even going to try. They all face the same hurdles to accomplishing meaningful change.

Tell me, who do you support? I'd like to see if you hold a double-standard.Your question is intellectually bankrupt. You hold a double-standard, clearly."Huckabee-get rid of IRSHillary-wants socialized medicine/universal healthcareMcCain- wants immigrant reform among other things...Obama- ?????WHAT CHANGE????"Huckabee wants to get rid of the IRS. So? How would he do that? Just wish it away? How will John McCain reform immigration? As soon as you post something, I'll be obligated to use "HOW IS HE GOING TO DO THAT, NOT WHAT!!!" just as you do.Hillary-wants socialized medicine/universal healthcare. How will she do that?

How is Obama going to make this so-called "change"?
The first assumption in order to make these changes has to be a Democratic majority in both houses of Congress, or more willingness by Republicans to work across party lines. As it stands now, filibusters and vetoes are halting a significant percentage of the plans put forth before congress. Once you have a unified legislature, they will need to spend a lot of time investigating the best ways to fund these programs and prioritizing them in the budget. Most notably NAFTA, corporate welfare, and the Bush tax cuts for the upper 0,1% of the population (those making over a million per year) are probably the major candidates that would be considered for repeal first.Several of the ideas that you have listed will actually create jobs, develop a new modernized infrastructure, and will have a very beneficial impact on the economy, which will in the long run fund many of the other items listed. As for budgetary proposals and other logistics (such as how many people are required, etc.), these "hows" are rarely considered final values until the project is actually nearing completion.

The change obama is talking about is the change left over in your check after his new taxes.
