my parents have there own business and use there credit cards to buy everything, so they have a large limit on them. but they are afraid to get paypal as they are scared that there credit cards will be taken overand they will be stuck paying for it.

I havent had problems with paypal yet, and I have been using them as part of Ebay for the last years now.

I have been an ebay seller and buyer for over 5 years and use paypal almost exclusively. I have never had a problem with them. However, their fees can be steep when you sell expensive items.

My sister had someone charge over 400 dollars to her Paypal account. Naturally it bounced her checking account. She spent eight months trying to get her money back. They actually agreed that it was fraudulent and then claimed they sent her a check. She called them, our bank called them, and they finally admitted that our bank return the check because they sent it to her closed account. She never saw the money again, though. Added bonus: the card they stole from on Paypal was EXPIRED!A few months later, a paypal account I forgot that I even had did the same thing on my EXPIRED credit card. Luckily my credit card people took care of it so I didn't lose any money. These could be isolated experiences but I WOULD NEVER use Paypal or recommend that anyone else do.

Use a pre-paid credit card for their Paypal account.That way, only the amount they load onto that card would be at risk.Paypal is safe.When you pay using Paypal at a website, they only access Paypal and not directly to your credit card.It is VERY difficult to hack Paypal.
