I posted my wedding dress on ebay and i had 16 people watching my dress and waiting for the time to be 5 min and starting to bid. i was just checking on ebay and girl who lives in united kingdom asked for shipping price and telling me " will you accept $100 (included shipping cost) I will send money over to your paypal account right away" I said "okay" i closed auction and people asked me what happened to the auction. I couldn't do the bin price because of i need 5 positive feed back. it was my first time. she send moeny to my paypal account and it took 4 or 5 business day to transfer over to my bank account. (because it's almost weekend. saturday and sunday). She told me she need dress as soon as possible and all i had was $50 and i thought she can not wait untill i get paid from my paypal account. and I ship it over to united kingdom and paid with all i had($50). i told her dress will be arrived before her daughter prom night. She was getting upset about it and i told her(ebay buyer) that it has to go through by us custom and make sure it's nothing bad. and then i told her she have to understand it takes 4 or 5 business day to get money from paypal account. now she is starting to say " if i don't get the dress by then i am returning it". Is she scamming me? I told her i can not accept return because how do i know that you are gonna use this dress(wedding dress) and ship it over? ... Is she trying to scamming me?she paid with paypal account

That happens all the time.......It IS a scam.....they will have your dress and money too...... You NEVER send anything to anyone unless you have recieved the merchandise. Do Not send it too her without the money in your account first. She is stalling you because she does not intend to send anything! This will be your loss!

even though people dont realize it you can dispute transactions through paypal all she has to do is say she never got the item and paypal will refund her money after they contact you regarding the matter. you should have just let the item stay on ebay and let people bid on it you might have got a lot more for the dress then you did get.

I sell things off and on on e-bay since 1999. E-bay won't protect you because you did an "off e-bay" transaction. You may be out the dress and the money if she does a chargeback with her credit card. Did you ship the dress with any delivery confirmation or tracking information? If you didn't and she already paid with paypal, she could file a INR (item not recieved) and if you have no proof the item was delivered, paypal refund her money from your account. Next time you sell things, be sure to avoid off e-bay transactions, ship to verified addresses, use delivery confirmation- and DON'T SHIP UNLESS IT'S PAID FOR- no matter what the reason.
