so i created a paypal accountand they took 1.00 off from my bank account...i could've sworn that paypal was free!but anyways,my checking account had 0.00 dollars in itand because paypal took a dollar off,my checking account now reads -$1.00, so i guess i owe the bank a dollar now..so what happens?will the bank charge me extra because of that..?will i have to pay the bank back $1.00 and more??or can i just give them the dollar back without any issues?

My understanding is you need to have a verified bank account or credit card to use Paypal. So if you entered your bank account number in they send a small amount to verify your account if it goes through they give you back the 1.00. If you have a negative balance in your account you may also incur overdraft charges from your bank.

It depends on the bank and the kind of account you have. For me, even if I'm overdrawn $1, I have to pay an overdraft charge, but my bank, and I'm sure most banks, offer overdraft protection for things like this.

When you sign up for paypal with your bank account, unsure why they took a $1.00, but they usually deposit a small amount and take out even a smaller amount. Then you have to verify the amount to verify your bank account. But, if the $1.00 was for something else, I would explain to your bank well I didn't realize they were going to take that out, and just pay the $1.00, banks usually charge $25 for overdraft fees, but sounds like they didn't otherwise it would say -$26.00.
