i want to register for a paypal accountbut paypal wants me to disclose on their registration my credit card details which i think am not prepared for bec. i believe it is very confidential.is it possible to receive payments from overseas if i dont disclose my credit card details? how do i get the payment then?i am very new with paypal and i want to know if it is very much secured!if i have a business and my customers pay me through paypal, how do i receive the money?

Paypal is probably one of the most secure things on the internet since it is the primary method to transfer money between people online.but like everything online you have to be carful if selling things through paypal, people can change default prices through a firefox addon. (so instead of paying you 10 dollars, they pay you $0.01) which causes you to get -2cents since of paypal's transaction fees.

Paypal is very secure which is why many other compaines other than Ebay are using Paypal for payments for ordering merchandise online. I have had a Paypal account for over 10 years and have had absolutely no problems with it. You can trust them with your credit card or bank account information. The money people pay you for stuff they buy with Paypal will go into your Paypal account and you can get it several ways. You can transfer the money directly into your bank account or you can get a Paypal debit card that allows you to get the money from any ATM machine or you can use the card just like any debit card and pay for purchases with it. If I get a lot of money in my account, I will sometimes take it out in cash, but mostly I use it to buy stuff online or on Ebay or ever at the grocery store or lately for gas. I wish more internet companies took Paypal because it is the safest way to purchase stuff because they insure each purchase and if you do not get the merchandise, Paypal will refund your money just like a credit card.....Trust it.

What they DON'T want is someone just signing up with a name/address without verifying it somehow, b/c they're dealing with YOUR MONEY.By asking for credit card details, they assure that "you" are you.
