phishing sites! BEWARE!

a few days back, i've received an email, saying they are from paypal and that i needed to confirm something. but why was it on my spam folder? so i had a little doubt. gmail never hold my paypal mails on the spam folder! but it looked almost real! the mail was from support@PaYpal.com. yep. it was written that way -- PaYpal -- so that i would hardly notice that it was actually paypai not paypal! the font was verdana, so the difference between capital I and small L was hardly noticeable.

good thing when gmail displays the sender's actual address, they display it through small letters <support@paypai.com>, and that saved my life!

That really helps many. I was also sent in such mails which were actually spam. Thanks to share it with us.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm also with paypal, but I have not yet received a phishing site. Now, I can rest assure that none of these sites will ever get the best out of me.

Just make sure you ALWAYS sign in to anything like paypal and ebay from there official site and NEVER through an email link. That should save you alot of problems!
