Default Recycled packaging materials

I'd like opinions please. Whilst I like to keep costs down & do my bit for the environment by recycling packaging materials, I wonder whether my customers see this in a positive light. Obviously, I don't send parcels held together entirely by tape & make an effort to make them look as good as possible, but it's fairly obvious when padded envelopes and bubble wrap have been reused.

I don't sell a product which is specifically marketed as 'ethical', so do you think this practice could just be looked upon as 'cheap'? I don't charge for packaging when I make an auction sale, and I would have to start doing so if I used new, but I'm not sure that my customers realise that.

All thoughts appreciated!

Hello Green-Moo.
I think presentation is a very important factor when it comes to packaging.
What is it that you Post/Sell?

Eyah, and this skin is definitely NOT the right packaging, David.
It makes the site look like a gamers' heaven!

I have seen of recycled packaging material that used nowadays. I think that it wouldn?t bother the customer to have it on their stuff. Of course, this is only my view of the things. I don?t know if anyone would have a violent reaction for having a recycled packaging on their components or whatever products that you are selling.
