GTA 4 Australian censored version?

I have cancelled my preorder and imported one (paid for, will ship on release date) from the states (off ebay), I don't even know why I preordered from JB, I usually don't as the RRP is 50 dollars more than in the States (incl shipping).Anyway, who has cancelled their preorders and who are sticking to the censored version?Also, why can't Australia have a R rating for games, when they have one for movies. Surely they realise that there are gamers who are over 18 years of age? Surely they realise that the only effect this has is to reduce demand for local copies and increase demand for imported copies?

Yeah,I certainly agree with you on that.Many countries also use the same rating type for media purposes.

i was thinking about buying a 360 or ps3 just for GTA4 but after hearing that the government ratings department ordered them to make a censored version for us aussies, i decided against buying a console. Oh well pc version comes out soon too
