If I buy a Harley Davidson on ebay from the USA what legalities do I have to go through importing it into OZ ?
Is there a Quarantine period? What taxes do I have to pay? How do I get it to pass Australian standards? What do I need to register it in Queensland? Is it worth it?

Yes. I am an american that lived in Queensland for a short while. I thought I was gonna be a smart one and have ciggarettes shipped in from Russia for 15 dollars a carton because I didn't want to pay the 105 dollars for a carton in Queensland. When they hit customs...I was charged 175 dollars for 3 cartons of ciggarettes!!! Anything that has over a two hundred dollar value is charged tax by customs and there is no way around it.

call a freight forwarding company .... in the USA there is what is called a Harmonized Tarriff Schedule that they use to determine the tarriffs for customs .... but I don't know much about it.....
