A question about importing
Hi there,
I am told that goods under 1000 dollars are exempt from any extra taxes and duties but i was wondering if this applies to commercial goods aswell? Say if i had 200 identical items worth under 1000 AUD in total shipped over here. Thanks. |

Hello Livo,
What you have heard is correct. Regardless if it is commercial or not all (with a few minor exceptions) importations into Australia under the amount of $1000 AUD are tax exempt.
